Reducing material use and preventing waste

AMACO’s inline printing solutions eliminate preprinted stocks, reduce obsolescence, and cut unnecessary material use. Latestage customization lowers the number of packaging variations needed. Together with customers, we refine medical packaging concepts to reduce waste and resource consumption.

Sustainable inks and safer chemistries

Through the Coesia Digital Printing Solutions cluster, we use inks designed for lower environmental impact – including renewable, biodegradable formulations. These inks support safer handling with non-hazardous chemicals, high compliance with REACH, and improved recyclability.

Energy-efficient printing processes

Our systems reduce energy use by removing intermediate steps such as UV curing and minimized handling between processes. Optimized mechanics and streamlined workflows further limit resource consumption.

Lower supply chain impact

Inline printing reduces warehousing, logistics, and working capital tied to preprinted materials. It also eliminates hidden waste costs – such as material obsolescence, minimum order quantities, lost capacity, excess storage, and administrative overhead. Producing only what is needed cuts unnecessary transport, emissions, and supplychain complexity.
